Plant a tree for the Jubilee

On 13 April 2022 Whitehill Town Council planted a Cherry tree in Jubilee Park as part of the plant a tree for the jubilee campaign, The Queen’s Green Canopy. The Town Mayor also officially opened a wonderful decorative throne and bench which were commissioned especially for the Platinum Jubilee together with the newly planted native Cherry tree.

This campaign is to create a legacy in honour of The Queen’s leadership of the Nation. Our tree is now registered on the official The Queen’s green canopy interactive map: https://queensgreencanopy.org/map-education-hub/qgc-map/#/

NOTE: The Jubilee tree plantings will appear as individual pins on the interactive map, these will be randomised within a 1 km radius of the planting location in order to protect privacy.
