The heart of any community is the organisations and people in the area. We are very lucky to have many organisations, clubs, societies and people who get involved and run them.
From groups caring about the local environment and our heritage to toddlers clubs for the under 5's its all going on in Bordon. You can even go under water diving!
There are plenty of activities to keep you and the whole family busy and entertained..Or if you prefer take a relaxed stroll though our lovely country side along one of our many walks.What ever you like to do have a look at these pages and see what's on offer right on your door step.
How about a game of Petanque a variation of Boule. A French game played at the Bordon and Oakhanger Sports Club. We have our very own team that play or fun and also competitively. You could pop along, find out what its all about and join in. Who knows perhaps you're a buddy Petanque star
You might like to join in with a local society and get involved with local history. You would be surprised to find out how much history we have in this area. Take the bronze age for example look what was found from that period
- Bronze Age hoard - 4 arm rings, 2 torcs and 1 palstave - nearr Brimstone enclosure, Woolmer Forest
- Woolmer Pond hoard - 4 bronze rings, 2 torcs, an axe and spiral bronze finger rings
- Hogmoor hoard, Whitehill - Nationally important Bronze Age weapon hoard - swords, sheaths, spear heads and 3 rings (now in British Museum)
- Disc barrows - 3 rare Grinsell type 4 disc barrows at Longmoor Camp
- 2 round barrows at Whitehill Village Hall. Just 2 of the many barrows found in this area.
