Jubilee Park was opened in 1977 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The ornamental iron gates were designed by SEME, and the King Charles III sculpture, which was a collaboration between REME and local Councillor Roger Russell, was added in July 2023.
Nut Tree Meadow
Nut Tree Meadow is a small play area in Jubilee Park. It has a rope bridge and our latest addition is the play tractor.
Play Tractor
The play tractor was installed in Jubilee Park in October 2023. It is a great new addition to the park and is suitable for children over the age of 3 years old.
BMX Track
Watch this space!! An s106 application has been submitted to East Hampshire District Council for grant funding to resurface the BMX track using Asphalt (tarmac) and to enhance the bumps of the current structure. By doing this, we are leaving the current design but with the new smooth surfacing, anything with wheels can use the track, allowing more children to participate. We shall also be adding a pump & repair station in close proximity to the location so users can make the necessary repairs to their bikes too.
Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Bench and Cherry Tree
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bench was officially unveiled in April 2022 to commemorate 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II on the throne. A cherry tree was also planted to mark the occasion.
