On Tuesday 25th July 2023, The Town Mayor Cllr Leeroy Scott & Colonel Lex Agathangelou from The Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME) officially unveiled our new King Charles III metal Sculpture at Jubilee Park gates.
This is a special piece commissioned by Whitehill Town Council to honour King Charles III’s Coronation. It was deemed appropriate to add the new sovereign to the commemorative gates created in 1977 for Queen Elizabeth II’s Sliver Jubilee.
It was created by Town Councillor & local artist Roger Russell, local artist Melissa Goldswain & Sgt Braunton Turner from REME.
Councillor Andy Tree was in attendance with the Town Clerk & Deputy Town Clerk.
Leader of Whitehill Town Council Andy Tree said “We were very happy to welcome REME officers to unveil the sculpture with our Town Mayor Cllr Leeroy Scott.”
